An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the team at the iconic Burgh Island Hotel. We are searching for a Restaurant Supervisor to assist the Manager with the day-to-day running of the restaurant.
As well as supporting the Restaurant Manager and taking charge in their absence, the role involves organising and supervising all areas of the hotel’s restaurants, managing staff, rotas and shifts and ensuring that all standard operating procedures in the department are adhered to.
Responsibilities also include advising customers on menu and wine choices to ensure additional revenue is created, and effectively resolving any queries or complaints to ensure maximum guest satisfaction.
You’ll deliver staff training and make sure that all employees adhere to the hotel’s uniform and grooming standards and organising cleaning rotas and records for front and back-of-house areas.
The successful candidate will also check stock levels and order supplies, prepare cash drawers and complete end-of-shift banking as required.
