Pastry Chef De Partie

RESPONSIBILITIES

Prepare dishes to the highest standards of quality, safety and consistency

Ensure recipes are followed to ensure risk of cross contamination are kept to a minimum

Sales and Marketing

  • Be aware of competitor products and sales activities, including website and social media sites. Advise Inn-telligence Commercial team of relevant changes or commercial threats.

  • Make recommendations for digital content:

Operations

  • Ensure shift tasks are clearly defined

Job duties include:

  • To only use approved chemicals and substances correctly and safely following certain procedures and by using correct dilution ratios
  • To perform daily and deep cleaning duties as directed, only using chemicals for which you have received relevant COSHH training.

  • Ensure standards are followed to ensure consistency of quality
  • Work as part of a team in preparation, cooking, garnishing, or presentation of food.
  • Work with Head Chef and Sous Chef to develop skills
  • Take part in training as required
  • Follow standards and regulations relating with cleanliness, hygiene and safety.
  • Ensure chef is inform where food or other supplies need to be ordered.
  • Check the quantity and quality of received products.
  • Work with head chef to ensure departmental compliance with all relevant regulations (e.g. COSHH, HAACP, Fire & Food Hygiene)
  • Ensure head chef is notified of equipment malfunctions and breakdowns.
  • Ensure breakfast is presented and served to hotel standards
  • Assist KP section where required

 

General

  • To follow Hotels procedures should staff require to exit the building for any reason.
  • To ensure staff do not enter any unauthorised areas.
  • To feed back any matters of concern as soon as possible to the Hotel Manager

Job Description

  • Wash crockery, pots, pans & kitchen utensils
  • Daily clean of kitchen areas and keeping refrigeration, freezers and stores clean
  • Checking and putting deliveries away and reporting any shortages
  • Report failing equipment to the Executive Chef
  • Be punctual, hard working and flexible
  • Be a good team player and have excellent communication skills
