Beautiful beachfront accommodation in Devon

One of the many (and we mean many) fantastic features of our Art Deco hotel is our wonderfully wild selection of quirky rooms. With each visit to Burgh Island, you have the opportunity of staying in a different room – from our iconic Agatha’s Beach House with secluded privacy paired with stunning sea views, to the open plan antique Artists’ Studio above our 700-year-old Pilchard Inn pub. In the main hotel, you can find the likes of the Tony & B Suite with a spacious lounge and dining area and its grand ensuite – or luxuriate in the Hope Suite with views of the big blue and a welcoming lounge area. Our eccentric array of personalised rooms (named after historic celebrities who were once regulars on the island) gives you the promise that no two stays are identical. Burgh Island is one of the most luxury beach hotels in Devon that you deserve to experience.

The best place to stay in Devon near a beach

Devon is one of the most popular UK destinations to escape to for a well-deserved break, and one of its most popular characteristics is its sandy beaches. Luckily for Burgh’s guests, we’re surrounded by sandy beaches galore! Bigbury-On-Sea beach provides the perfect haven for those wanting to sink their toes into soft golden sand or take an inspiring morning stroll to watch the sunrise.

When you’re not indulging in beach activities, our hotel has an array of great distractions to become immersed in. Head on over to our court for an exhilarating game of tennis, or perhaps our green lawn for a competitive game of croquet with picturesque views of the ocean. Wrap up the end of a brilliant day with a brisk swim or a relaxing drink at the bar.

When you simply want to unwind and watch the world go by, we have just the place for you – sip on a fruity cocktail in the glass ceiling splendour of our Palm Court Lounge.
