• Updated 24th June 2020

We are delighted to say that following the UK Government update yesterday, we are officially re-opening Burgh Island Hotel from Tuesday 7th July 2020.

What better place to escape to the sea than Burgh Island we wonder? Retreat to our remote and spectacular island setting. An abundance of nature, fresh air and a completely unique experience awaits that is a world away from the current every day. Our bedrooms and suites boast unrivalled views of the beautiful Devon coastline and the sparkling blue ocean beyond. Most have balconies so that you can relax and soak up the tranquil, secluded atmosphere. Our Palm Court Lounge, Nettlefold restaurant and Grand Ballroom allow for plenty of open and airy social spaces for you to relax during the day with a chilled glass of fizz and a bite to eat. By night Burgh is best known for it’s decadent party atmosphere where you’ll be able to soak up the art deco revelry over a black tie dinner.

Here at Burgh Island we’ve thought about little else during our lock down than the day we can reopen to you, our much missed friends. We’ve worked hard to ensure that all appropriate safety measures are firmly in place so that you can escape to the island with the reassurance you deserve at this time. We are, as ever, on hand to answer any questions you may have in addition to the details here. The Burgh team are so excited to get back to doing what they do best and we are putting their safety, and the safety of our guests, front and centre of everything we do.

We are excited to bring you your usual unique and memorable experience in a safe environment. This will look a little different for a time, but we are here to make sure that your trip is as special as ever.

    With our very best wishes,
Kati, Vlad and the wonderfully wild team at Burgh Island and The Pilchard Inn
