And so it is that we announce that our beloved Burgh Island will temporarily close its doors today due to the Coronavirus pandemic. We do not take this decision lightly, but we believe this is in the best interests of health and safety for all of us in light of these unprecedented times.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank our wonderful team, who have worked tirelessly in recent weeks to make sure that our guests and friends feel safe and looked after. We cannot praise their positive, can-do attitude highly enough.
To our many guests with bookings up to and including the 30th April please note that these are now cancelled and we will be in touch with you regarding rebooking your dates. We would ask you for your patience as we work through the many bookings that we have, this is no small task. For any bookings after this date please check this section of the website which we will update as regularly as we can.
We can’t wait to see you all again when this is over and we ask that you come to visit us just as soon as it is safe. In the meantime we would like to wish our team and our guests our very best. Please do continue to follow us on social media where we’ll be creating posts to lift the spirits!
Stay safe and look after each other.
Kati, Vlad and the wonderfully wild team at Burgh Island and The Pilchard Inn
