    New for 2026: NEW availability for non-resident guests on our Murder Mystery breaks. The Murder Mystery always takes place on the second night of the break, where guests are invited to step into the story and become part of the intrigue. The evening is now available to book at £140 per person, including a welcome cocktail, three-course dinner and entertainment.

     

     

  • Easter Sunday Lunch - 5th April

    Celebrate Easter Sunday at Burgh Island with a special lunch in the Grand Ballroom on Sunday 5th April, served from 12.30pm to 3pm. Accompanied by the smooth sounds of a live jazz band, this elegant seasonal gathering brings together beautifully prepared dishes, classic spring flavours, and the island’s timeless charm for a truly memorable afternoon.

     

  • Afternoon Tea with Sarah Pearse - 30th April

    Experience an engaging literary afternoon at Burgh Island alongside bestselling author Sarah Pearse. Hosted in the Nettlefold Restaurant, guests are welcomed from 13:00, with Afternoon Tea served at 13:30. Known for her gripping psychological thrillers, including The Sanatorium and The Retreat, Sarah will lead an engaging Q&A-style talk from 14:30 to 15:30, exploring her writing process, plot development, and the inspiration behind her work.

    Priced at £55 per person, or £70 with Champagne, this is a wonderful opportunity to enjoy an atmospheric afternoon of storytelling in a truly distinctive setting.

  • Afternoon Tea with Monty Halls - 18th June

    Join us for a captivating afternoon in the company of acclaimed author Monty Halls. Hosted in the Nettlefold Restaurant, this event begins with arrival from 13:00, followed by a traditional Afternoon Tea served at 13:30. As you relax into the experience, Monty will share insights from his novel, Killing House, before an engaging talk and Q&A from 14:30 to 15:30.

  • Island Artist Experiences

    For the notable art collectors, enjoy a unique creative experience of an artist workshop with the wonderful Emma Carter Bromfield. Allow Emma to guide you through her creative process and enjoy an opportunity to learn more about Emma’s work, taking home some techniques that will help shape your own artwork.     For the notable art collectors, the Burgh Artist Residence is held by the wonderful Emma Carter Bromfield. During your stay on Burgh Island, embrace your inner artist and enjoy an opportunity to learn more about Emma’s work and perhaps take a piece of her collection home with you.   • Live Music

    Every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday night one of our house bands will entertain you in our Ballroom. You are not obliged to dance, but you may be tempted! Live piano music accompanies all other evenings.

     

  • 1920's Couture

    To fully immerse yourself in the roaring Twenties experience at Burgh Island, dressing for the occasion certainly adds serious Art Deco glamour to cocktail hour or a romantic dinner in the Grand Ballroom. We’ve partnered up with 1920’s Couture to help our guests fall in love with the most beautifully restored vintage 1920’s attire. 1920’s Couture will be attending select events throughout the year and will be on hand to prepare guests for the fabulous night ahead.
