We are looking for a resilient, personable, and proactive People Assistant to join our small but ambitious HR team. Working closely with the HR Manager and partnering with all Heads of Department, you’ll help shape a culture of excellence, growth, and continuous
improvement across the island.
What you’ll do:
– Be a trusted point of contact – Provide first-line HR support to employees and
managers, offering guidance on policies and procedures while escalating complex
issues appropriately.
– Coordinate recruitment and onboarding – Ensure a seamless candidate and new
starter experience through professional, timely communications and documentation.
– Drive operational excellence – Oversee HR administration, including contracts,
compliance checks, personnel files, rota tracking, and staff timekeeping.
– Support people processes – Assist with investigations, grievances, and disciplinaries
with sensitivity and professionalism.
– Deliver training and development support – Help coordinate induction, upskilling
workshops, and development planning with line managers.
– Manage staff accommodation logistics – Oversee arrivals, departures, maintenance
needs, and coordination with cleaning teams.
– Work with data and systems – Maintain accurate HR systems and reports, analyse
people metrics, and support data-driven decision-making.
– Support payroll and compliance – Prepare and submit payroll data in collaboration
with our external provider, ensuring accuracy and accountability.
– Contribute to HR projects – Identify areas for improvement and help implement
initiatives that enhance employee experience and operational efficiency.
What we’re looking for:
✔️ Strong HR administration experience, ideally in hospitality or a similar fast-paced
environment
✔️ Excellent working knowledge of Excel and HR systems – you’re confident managing
spreadsheets, data analysis, and streamlining processes for efficiency.
✔️ A people-first approach – personable, approachable, and passionate about service and
team culture
✔️ A self-starter who takes initiative and handles sensitive matters with care and discretion
✔️ Organised, detail-oriented, and adaptable – able to juggle priorities and remain calm
under pressure
✔️ A desire to learn and grow – this role offers significant development potential in HR and
