- To work effectively as part of the team to ensure service runs smoothly
- To ensure the bar/restaurant is cleaned to a high standard in line with the cleaning specification.
1.Ensure shift tasks are clearly defined
2.Ensure standards of cleanliness are maintained throughout the property at all times
3.Coordinate completion of necessary maintenance
4.Ensure emails are answered promptly and appropriately
5.To only use Hotel approved suppliers for food and drink.
6.To ensure beer lines are cleaned regularly and safely, and recorded correctly
7.To ensure all wastage is recorded accurately in preparation for month end stock take
8.To use measures correctly as required by statutory regulations
9.Ensure that guest experience in the pub is smooth, seamless and appropriate
10.Ensure all guests are given a warm and friendly welcome.
11.Be able to build and maintain long term relationships with regular guests
12.Be able to recommend and upsell wine and beverages.
13.Be able to explain how various menu items are prepared, describing ingredients and allergens (if necessary)
14.To continually build products knowledge and bar skills
15.Check identification of customers to verify age requirements for purchase of alcohol.
16.Attempt to limit problems and liability related to customers' excessive drinking by taking steps such as persuading customers to stop drinking, or ordering taxis or other transportation for intoxicated patrons.
17.Ensure bar is well-stocked with beer, wine, liquor, and related supplies such as ice, glassware, napkins, or straws.
18.Take beverage orders from serving staff or directly from patrons and using EPOS systems enter these accurately onto till. Collect money for drinks served or transfer to rooms immediately.
19.Efficiently and accurately serve wine, and bottled or draft beer.
20.Maintain cleanliness of bars, work areas and tables throughout shift.
21.Serve snacks or food items to customers seated at the bar.
22.Be an ambassador for the bar and the hotel. Recommend other services (restaurant, rooms) to patrons
23.Provide guests with information about the hotel and about local areas, including giving directions.
24.To carry out weekly, monthly and annual fire and emergency checks
1.Ensure that all employees receive adequate training and support to satisfactorily complete their duties within prevailing legislative requirements, and relevant certificates forwarded to HO for their HR files.
2.Manage performance issues in a timely manner; making sure proper file notes are completed & forwarded to HO, follow-up reviews & required training happen as agreed.
3.Ensure that Inn-telligence Ltd are informed on timely basis of any employee issues, ie starters, leavers, employees going AWOL, pregnancies, long-term sickness etc.
4.Ensure that employees have the opportunity to attend a staff consultative meetings.
5.Create a positive environment that encourages employee engagement and which acknowledges performance and individual contribution.
6.Ensure that the environment is managed in such a way as to maximise safety for employees and customers.
7.Rota staff in accordance with business needs and ensure we keep payroll costs to a minimal, based on operational demand.
8.Ensure that you comply with all GDPR regulations relating to HR personal data.
SALES AND MARKETING
1.Be aware of competitor products and sales activities, including website and social media sites. Advise Inn-telligence Commercial team of relevant changes or commercial threats.
2.Constantly compare pub offerings against competitors and suggest product changes to Inn-telligence Team.
3.Attend external events as required from time to time.

ACCOUNTS AND PURCHASING
1.Be aware of budgetary targets
2.Ensure end of day process is correctly completed and report any discrepancies
3.Ensure end of month process is correctly completed and report any discrepancies
4.Control petty cash in accordance with company guidelines
5.Complete monthly stock-takes as necessary
6.Manage stocks and place orders as required, ensuring you obtain the best price available
7.Obtain approval for irregular purchases and obtain competitive quotes
Pre-requisites for the role:
Experience in quality service operations and volume operation
