Where
else would you sit in front of a warm fire in winter, next to a sandy beach
in summer, with views of the sea, the comings to and goings from the Island,
while nursing a pint and a plate of oysters? Our classic 14th century smugglers’
pub has all the ingredients of a lazy afternoon, with the bonus of Tom Crocker’s
poltergeist to liven up a
quieter evening.
Soup, baguettes and bar snacks are served at lunchtime, evening meals (by reservation)
on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. Our guests are welcome to eat here on any
night, choosing from the
Hotel Menu or off the
Pilchard Menu. On Friday nights there is a popular
Curry Night.
